Results: VAANI – TTIS Essay Challenge!

VAANI had organised the “TTIS – VAANI Essay Challenge” in order to build awareness about childhood deafness among the school students of Kolkata. Over 75 participants from 14 schools of Kolkata came together to participate in this challenge on 5 December 2011. The success of our efforts lay in the fact that each participant came well prepared. It was heartening to see that research met imagination in the essays that were submitted.

  1. it was so interested to know what many students of different schools thought about what to write essay of ‘ Deaf … So What!’ . I really happy and hope they will look forward to exchange friendship between them and deaf people.
I am deaf also and ex- student of The Oral School for Deaf children. I work in VAANI – Deaf Children’s Foundation office.
